General Info

If you’re craving a true Southern barbecue experience, Wall's Bar B Que Restaurant is one of those places that feels authentic the moment you step inside. Tucked away on E York Ln, this barbecue restaurant has a laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for a casual dine-in dinner or even a relaxed dessert stop after a long day exploring Savannah.

Walking in, the first thing that stands out is the comforting aroma of slow-cooked meats. It instantly sets the tone for what you can expect from the menu-simple, hearty, and focused on flavor. The restaurant leans into traditional barbecue, and you can tell there’s care behind every dish that comes out of the kitchen. Whether you’re sitting down for dinner or just dropping by to satisfy a craving, the experience feels consistent and welcoming.

The dine-in service is straightforward and unpretentious, which honestly adds to the charm. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time, enjoy your meal, and not feel rushed. The dinner offerings are clearly the highlight, with classic barbecue staples that deliver on both taste and portion size. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared, giving you that sense of a well-loved local spot rather than a commercial chain.

One thing I appreciated was how balanced the experience felt. After a savory meal, sticking around for dessert is a great move. It rounds out the visit nicely and gives you a chance to slow down and soak in the atmosphere a bit more. The transition from a smoky, rich main course to something sweet feels natural here.

From a location standpoint, being right in Savannah makes it accessible whether you’re a local or just passing through. It’s easy to find, and once you’re there, it feels like a hidden gem that regulars probably keep coming back to. Reviews from visitors often highlight that same sense of reliability-good food, consistent service, and a comfortable setting.

Overall, Wall’s Bar B Que Restaurant delivers exactly what you hope for in a barbecue spot: a satisfying menu, a relaxed dine-in experience, and a setting that invites you to stay a little longer.

What customers say?

“ I was really excited to eat here, I found it driving through the alleyway it’s in and then looked it up to find food tours stop here, which got be hyped! To preface this, I’m vegetarian so BBQ isn’t the best genre for me to review but, there is room for sides! That being said, the sides were nothing to write home about. However, my date got the chicken and licked the plate clean! Something I can review is the sweet tea (I’m an affection-ado) and it was wayyy too sweet All in all, the service was phenomenally nice and the ambiance was unique so 4 stars for you should try, but nothing to go back to. ”

“ We are so excited that Wall’s BBQ is OPEN FOR BUSINESS again. Great little place for authentic southern soul food! ”

- Rose Moss -

“ Great service, mom and pop shop with outstanding food, but limited seating. The potato salad, collard greens, mac-n-cheese, and red beans and rice took me back to childhood. Rum cake was outstanding and so was the devil crab. ”

“ I'm only putting the stars here to not mess up their rating. When I went the restaurant was closed due to Covid 19. I was really looking forward to trying what the locals were calling the best BBQ in town. Maybe next time. Important to note... The restaurant is on a half street/alleyway, so the GPS didn't take me directly there. ”

“ Not only is the food great, but the family who owns it is really awesome! ”

“ A literal hole in the wal restaurant. It is in an alley, and when we first found it we were surprised to find it where it is. Very friendly and homey atmosphere. The food was good, but a tad pricey. ”

“ If you like BBQ this is the place to go in Savannah. Pulled pork was fresh and hot. Mac n cheese and potato salad were great. For dessert we had the banana pudding and it was excellent as well. This place is hard to find but definitely worth the excursion. Great and friendly service. ”
